Moonbeams

Hypnotic nature soundscapes, soothing music, and loving messages bring sleep.

We did not plan or set out to write a children’s sleep music or lullaby album, it happened organically and beautifully. We found ourselves surrounded by the sweet energy of babies in our circle of friends, and their presence in our lives inspired us to write music. One of our friends had a sweet little guy who struggled to fall asleep. We wrote him a song, it was called, Moonbeams. He wanted to hear it every night. Along the way other friends had little ones and their little ones continued to inspire us. Song by song came to us in our little studio, which was a tiny bungalow in Topanga Canyon. The crickets and the day and night birds were almost asking to be included as we could hear them outside singing while we worked on the music. Those sounds soon found their way onto this record. We recorded the songs of the morning birds, the night birds, owls, the crickets, as well as the coqui frogs from Hawaii. One of our friends asked, “Are you making an album for your child to be?” We laughed. At the time, that was not our plan. We could not have possibly known then that a few years later our little boy would come into our lives! These songs are such a wonderful part of our sleep time ritual that we now use regularly with our little boy. It has played a big part in our friends little ones sleep time rituals, in our lives, and now it can play a special part of your sleep routine. Moonbeams & Starstreams is a great way to assist in transitioning anyone, especially our little ones, from a busy day to bedtime, nap time or just quiet time.
